Terms of Service

Matson Software LLC ("we," "us," "Cosmonaut AI") provides the website cosmonaut-ai.com (the "Service") to you subject to the following Terms of Service ("Terms"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are a parent using the Service with a child, you are responsible for supervising their experience.
  • License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial entertainment.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid Tiers: Cosmonaut AI offers subscription plans (e.g., "Explorer", "Cosmonaut") that grant access to increased usage limits and premium features like audio narration.
  • Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly. Your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing period.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.
  • Usage Limits: We reserve the right to enforce quotas on story generation (e.g., weekly or monthly limits) as described in your plan. Unused quotas do not roll over.

3. AI-Generated Content & Disclaimers

Cosmonaut AI uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate stories, images, and audio.

  • Accuracy: AI can be unpredictable. We do not guarantee that the stories generated will be accurate, logical, or consistent.
  • Appropriateness: While we employ safety filters, AI may occasionally generate content that is unexpected or unsuitable. You agree that use of the Service is at your own risk.
  • Ownership: As between you and Cosmonaut AI, you own the inputs you provide. To the extent permitted by law, you own the specific output generated for you. However, due to the nature of AI, other users may receive similar outputs.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, sexually explicit, or promotes hate speech.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the Service or access our internal API without authorization.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product.

5. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

6. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATSON SOFTWARE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
